Some Mazda model have a M Hybrid Battery as an energy regeneration system on the deceleration of the vehicle or the High Voltage Battery as power to drive the electric motor. Two batteries are kind of Lithium-ion Battery.

The electricity remains in the battery depending on the condition of the vehicle.
When an end of life vehicle is scrapped in that condition, the electricity stored in the battery could cause an ignition or a fire in shredding the vehicle. Therefore, please always remove the battery from vehicle body when a vehicle is dismantled.
