Mazda Route3 Challenger Tour

Eight all-new Mazda3s driving from Hiroshima to Frankfurt for 30 days across 15,000 kilometers, two continents, five countries and more than 30 cities. A challenge? That’s putting it politely.
For the teams of international journalists and bloggers taking part, ‘Mazda Route3’ was literally the drive of a lifetime.

Beginning in August 2013 as the first Mazdas from the Hofu production line rolled off the ferry in Vladivostok, this epic road trip put the cars and drivers through an incredible challenge over some of the world’s toughest roads including huge car-swallowing potholes, which claimed several wheels. With a deadline of the International Auto Show at Frankfurt in September, there was no time for delay and the teams had to drive for up to 16 hours a day, stopping only to refuel. But their spirits were lifted by groups of Mazda fans in Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, and Warsaw, who joined the convoy or cheered them along the route before the final push to the finish line in Germany.
